Fundamental to being a healthy boomer is the idea that being healthy refers to physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and financial health and being balance in all aspects. Much of today’s communication focus, on the internet and in the media, about Baby Boomer Health is not about being healthy rather the philosophy is based on preparing for the worst assuming and the inevitable premise that every one is going to be sick and become feeble both physically and mentally as we age. In contrast, the Healthy Wealthy Boomer premise is that we get better with age, like a good cheese or wine. Rather than bracing for illness and learning how to manage dis-ease we accept the fact that not only does life begin at 40, we start to get a handle on what is going on at age 50. Aging is a thing to celebrate, honor and respect as is the human body. Health is a choice and choosing to be healthy is a prerequisite to an exciting, bountiful and powerful second half of life. Biography: Long ago, Sonic Boom took refuge high atop a mountain peak in the far reaches of Skylands. Away from the mystical dangers of the outside world, she had hoped to keep her griffin hatchlings safe. But despite her precautions, a devious wizard tracked her down and placed a wicked curse on the griffin eggs. Once hatched, the young griffins can live for only mere moments before they magically return to their shells… only to be hatched again in an endless cycle. Wanting to prevent such evil from happening to others, Sonic Boom joined the Skylanders and has trained her young to defend Skylands each time they are hatched.
